Concert Season XI IN THE ISMEV, TALKS OF MUSICAL APPRECIATION " FIRST OF LUDWIG VAN BEETHOVEN SONATAS "

The Maestro. Leonardo Castillo, a prominent professor at the Higher Institute of Music in the State of Veracruz (ISMEV), will from tomorrow, Thursday, April 7, a series of talks about the early sonatas of Ludwig van Beethoven (1770-1827). Beethoven enriched the basics of composition laid down by Hayden and Mozart, and expanded the horizon of all forms of music of the era.

Leonardo Castillo studied at the Escuela Nacional de Música de la UNAM with teachers Néstor León Castañeda and Carlos Vázquez, and particularly with the Hungarian pianist Istvan Nadas. At the University of Graz, Austria, earned two graduate degrees, Concerto piano and chamber music. He currently serves also as a Chopin pianist of the trio at the Universidad Veracruzana.

The talks will be held in Room 5 of ISMEV from 16:00 hours and be open to the public interested in this important part of the work of so-called Bonn genius. Admission is free.
